The principale of respecting the land begins with the vine. For this reason, we choose to manage our vines using "integrated management".

Our plot plantation density is between 8,000 and 10,000 feet per hectare. Pruning, trimming, .... all of these labour-intensive processes take place, by hand, between mid-November and the end of June. We have 2 full-time members of staff and other experts that we hire occasionally.

Each year, we bring in 100% natural, organic fertilizer and aplly it according to the needs of each patch of land. We have opted for managed natural cover planting for our vines, allowing us to fight soil erosion. We carry out 2 or 3 cut-downs per year.

We no longer take preventative measures against the grape worm. For a number of years we have been using pheromone capsules amongst the vines, which cause sexual confusion in the butterflies that would otherwise cause grape worm.

We ceased use of anti-rot in 1986. Using shears, we trim back foliage to allow each grape to air and better ripen in the sun.

All of our work is done with the simple, single aim of respecting the vines and their environment. Mother Nature is kind to us - we khow how to respect her!
